What to expect on the First Visit.

Initial Office Visit

On your first visit, please expect to stay 60-90 minutes.  Follow up visits usually run 55-60 minutes.  If you are visiting from out of town, we may elect to do an extended visit to reduce the number of follow up visits needed.

After completion of our intake form,  we will proceed to the treatment room and begin our session.  Following a brief discussion of your history and any questions I will begin my evaluation followed by the treatment planned for the day.   All follow-up appointment(s) will essentially follow the same format of  a brief discussion of changes you have noticed, evaluation to determine what our therapy plan for the day will be and of course the therapy.
Evaluation

On your first and follow up visits, I will always begin a session by doing a kinesiological evaluation to determine what our game plan for the day will be.  This is a good time to ask questions as well.
Kinesiological Exam

Following any necessary standard clinical exam protocols (orthopedic, neurological, etc.) I will proceed with kinesiological evaluation which will be comprised of many muscle testing procedures.  To learn more about muscle testing and how it works, click on this sentence.

Right  Jaw:  Evaluating the right jaw (masseter muscle) will let me know if there is an overwhelming (active) emotional state.  Additional  evaluation of certain cranial faults will further identify if this is a recent or chronic (depression state).
Cardiac Back will let me know if there is this emotion state is being processed through a heart self emotion.  If so, there very often will be a physical response of primarily low back (more horizontal then vertical) and secondarily upper neck pain with possible chest/heart pain.  This condition is self resolving in a few days but often will last a week or so.  Unfortunately it is inflammation of the low back and will aggravate any other low back condition that one may have suffered from in the past/present.  By far this is the most common condition that most of my patients present with when coming in for an unscheduled visit.
Right  Jaw:  will let me know if there is an overwhelming (active) state emotional state. Additional  evaluation of certain cranial faults will further identify if this is a recent or chronic (depression state).
